End of Day Exercise

Several years ago, one of my favorite yoga instructors, and a friend and colleague, Kellie Munns, RYT, CRM, taught me this End of Day Exercise* that can be used to promote your general well-being. The advice still holds true.
Every evening, review the events of your day for just fifteen minutes (you can take longer if you have time, and if you want to do so). Ask yourself the following questions:
- What surprised me today?
- What moved me or touched me today?
- What inspired me today?
Consider keeping a journal for these thoughts, but it isn’t necessary. You can easily review them in your mind.
While this exercise isn’t physical in the sense of working your body, it will have positive effects! It helps to relieve daily stress by allowing you to take time out to think what was important in your day…and what might be able to take a back seat in your thoughts. There is a strong mind-body connection that can’t be dismissed.
Try it tonight!
Keep Your Vitality!
