It Could Happen!

We are in the middle of baseball season, and I’m reminded of a favorite movie from a number of years ago – the modern-day remake of Angels in the Outfield.  In this Disney adaptation, the continually dismal California Angels face another losing season.  Because two little boys, who face their own personal obstacles, believe in the team, “angels” are seen among the fans and on the field.  The story ends with the team winning the pennant.

One of the little boys in the movie is fond of saying, “It could happen.”  I love this phrase, and it’s one of my trademarks (ask my children)!  It could happen!

A positive outlook is more than just a mental state – it can affect your physical well-being, too. Studies have shown that people with positive attitudes tend to have:

  • Less back pain
  • More energy
  • Fewer headaches
  • Fewer bone and joint aches
  • Better digestion

So, try to think the best, laugh as much as you can, and make that proverbial glass more full than empty.  You might start agreeing that it could happen! And you might feel healthier and happier.

To Your Vitality!
