Don’t Own a Disease

Diseases cost too much to own! And, they’re a lousy investment.
So often, when I’m working with a client, I hear a litany of conditions the person “owns.” Arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure, irritable bowel, and on and on. My clients tell me they “have” these conditions. Once you have them, they’re yours! Even a simple cold can be easy to own.
Our brains are amazing parts of our body and they are connected! Our brains like to go along with us, and when we begin to believe something and voice it, our brain thinks, “well, they keep saying it, so I’ll start acting like it’s the case” and boom! that’s when the trouble starts. If we think we have a disease or condition, we’ll be stuck with it!
Rather than owning a disease, begin to think you’re healthy! Identify and voice how good you feel! Tell your mirror every day that you feel and look great! It’s going to be a great day! Acknowledge your energy, your abilities, your good attributes! Seriously say these things out loud – your brain loves to hear your voice.
If you do suffer from a condition, say, arthritis, acknowledge it in a positive manner. For instance, you might say to yourself, “my legs are stiff this morning, and I’m going to go for a walk to loosen them up and they’ll feel better!”
Then, think of how changing your eating plan might help eradicate the condition you want to own. Arthritis, for example, is affected by inflammation. Grains and simple carbohydrates are highly inflammatory to our internal condition. Remove these foods from your eating for a week or two, and see how much better you feel. Then, move on to another disease you think you own, and do the same thing.
The result? You’ll own great health and vitality. You’ll have made a great investment in your current and future health. And, you won’t even miss the disease – it costs too much!
To Your Vitality!
