Work Out This Winter!

If the winter doldrums have set in, and you hesitate to get your work-out in, think twice!
Recent studies have shown the following:
- Forget where you put your cell phone or keys? Working out 3 times per week can reverse the age-related brain shrinkage that makes you forget where you put these common items, or why you entered a room.
- No one wants to be sick! A moderate work-out 5 times per week just might lower your odds of catching a cold – by about 40 percent, according to researchers at Appalachian State University. Nothing to sneeze at!
- Clean up the uggies in your cells! A study done with mice proved exercise might help prevent diabetes and other diseases, like cancer, because exercise helps our cells clean themselves up. This is a tidy result!
- I personally feel working out makes me feel better, makes me feel warmer and gives me a spring to my step!
So, lace up those sneakers and get to work! If you can’t be outside, look into the gym options available to you. We really like the local Planet Fitness facilities, where faithful blog reader, Sam Gianelli, works. They have multiple locations, making it convenient to get your workout done. It’s a great way to beat the doldrums.
