Questions to Ponder

I recently read a page from one of my favorite Page-A-Day calendars, Life’s Little Instruction Calendar, that proposed four questions to ask your child at bedtime.  I suggest that these questions can be asked of our adult selves, too!

As we begin to segue into fall, this could be a great time to think about yourself each day and ask these questions:

  1. What did you do today?
  2. What questions did you ask?
  3. Whom did you help?
  4. What are you planning for tomorrow?

Spending time with yourself each day, especially at bedtime, can be refreshing, nourishing and just plain good for you!  We get so caught up in simply existing in our lives that we can lose track of our own needs and desires.  This can affect our health in so many ways – our stress levels, our hormone balance, our digestive system function, and our cardiovascular well-being, and the way we eat.

So, ask these questions of your children, but then ask them of yourself, too – and answer them!  Write them down – keep a journal so you can track the answers. Nourish your whole being.  A healthy brain is a healthy body!  If you aren’t happy with some of your answers, give us a call!  We can help get you back on track.

To Your Vitality!
