Last week, we shared some of the safest, yet effective, commercially prepared cleaners.  This week, I give you some natural cleaners you can make at home – easier on your body, lungs, and health…plus your wallet!

All-Purpose Cleaner (*from Toxin Takedown by Karen Malkin)

This all-purpose cleaner can replace the “anti-bacterial” brands you may be buying and using.  Most commercial anti-bacterial products have harmful ingredients.

So easy!  Combine the following in a spray bottle (available at hardware and grocery stores):

Shake lightly and spray on any surfaces you wish to clean and disinfect.  For tougher stains, you can use white vinegar alone.

Bathroom Cleaner (*from EWG.com)

Make a soft scrub for bathroom surfaces:

Apply paste with a good scrub brush or cloth.  Rinse and wipe clean.

When you are done cleaning and refreshing your home, allow some time for yourself.  Every good deed should be rewarded!  Sit and take a quick nap, read a chapter of your favorite book, skim through a magazine, or have a cup of warm, delicious tea!
